I have to tell you that I started this post a couple of days ago and then just got distracted! Now, however, this photo is too appropriate! We are having an ICE storm — yup, who knew you could have that in NORTHERN Minnesota ????
I am feeling a little chagrin because yesterday I was giving my brother a bad time about the rain in Tucson! Guess who is laughing now??? But I digress….
I really wanted to let you all know that the fabrics for the 4th Annual Quilt Minnesota Shop Hop are now on our web site. Doug has it all ready and you can pre-order starting now. This year we have done a couple of things different with the types of ‘cuts’ so in addition to the normal way of picking and choosing, you can also purchase CHARM PACKS, 1/2-yd Bundles and 1-yd Bundles (http://www.abcsofquilting.com/2009QuiltMinnesota.html#QuiltMN2010)
The line has been designed by Holly Taylor for Moda and features a panel with Winter Scenes from our great state of Minnesota. There are 20 coordinating fabrics which give a nice variety of color.
We have BIG plans for it, too! I have our quilt designed and am anxious to start working on it. Shannon has agreed to make a bag (we are searching for something special for you) and then I think perhaps a table topper or wall hanging would be nice, too.
I just looked outside (BIG mistake…) and the rain that was falling is now snow. Gee….do you think that means the roads will be icy going home?
